Beginning on Ash Wednesday and lasting for 40 days (mirroring Jesus’ time of temptation in the wilderness), Lent is a season of fasting and penitence in preparation for Easter.

As we worship together this Lent, you may notice some small changes in our service: our clergy will be vesting in robes, some of our liturgy will be more contemplative and penitential, the liturgical colors will be purple, and we’ll kneel when we receive Communion.

We’re also excited to begin a series, running through Lent and Easter, looking at the work of the Holy Spirit in us, as individuals and as the Church. We’ll have some additional time in our service to pray and to receive prayer, so that we can hear and receive together what the Holy Spirit is doing in our lives.
