The Holy Spirit is a person who has a will, an intellect, and emotion. The Holy Spirit can be known and understood.

Questions for Reflection:

1. Has your perception/experiences of individuals, churches and/or media caue you to be reluctant or even obstinate to the Holy Spirit?
2. The Holy Spirit is the person of Jesus - continuing the work Jesus came to do IN us, and through us. If you learned to trust Jesus, could you not also learn to trust the Holy Spirit?
3. God the Father promises to give His Holy Spirit, if we ask. Since God is good (and be nothing else but good), why not ask?

Pastor Jonathan brings us the second sermon in our series on the Holy Spirit. He discusses Ephesians 4 and the gifts given to the Church.

What is Lent? What does God do in the wilderness (when we observe a holy lent?) Benefits of the Wilderness (from Deuteronomy 8).

What is a Mission? What does a good Mission do for us as a Church Family? Jonathan uses John 17 to explain The River's Mission to Know, Follow, and Share Jesus, together.

Psalms 139 teaches us:

1. We are seen and known by God; 
2. We are pursued by God; 
3. We were fashioned by God; 
4. We love God's thoughts; 
5. We reject God's enemies; and 
6. We invite God's ongoing examination

Jonathan walked through and applied the text of Psalm 32. When we are "with" God, we have a confidence in His provision and protection.
