Dr. Tim Johnson, Executive Director of the Bradley Study Center, continued our sermon series on the parables of Jesus. Dr. Johnson used Luke 13 to illustrate that following Christ is a fight that requires work but we must know Him or we will be separated from God for eternity.

The Bradley Study Center is a center for Christian thought and life at Virginia Tech.

In Luke 15, Jesus uses the parable of the lost sheep to illustrate spiritual lostness. Like the shepherd who pursues the lost sheep, Jesus is always pursuing us.

Scott preaches on the Parable of the Lost Son (or Sons), and what it means for us and our relationship with Christ.

Like the unmerciful servant from Matthew 18: 21-35, we have been forgiven of a massive debt we could never repay by God. Our treatment of others is an indication of whether or not we have truly understood and accepted God's forgiveness.

Chris Meckley discussed the common interpretation of Matthew 25:31-46 emphasizing works as a path to salvation which cannot be correct. However, a the true purpose of this passage is to iterate that Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead.

Jonathan began our new sermon series, Parables of Jesus - Radical Obedience for the Real World, with the Parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37.

Chris Meckley focused on I Corinthians 2:2 and how are lives are changed by what Jesus did for us on the cross.

The evil one tries to keep us from knowing, following, and sharing Jesus. However, Christ did what we couldn't do for ourselves on the cross. He gave us everything we need to be victorious over sin and evil.

Jonathan preaches on the end of the Kingdom of Judah and the importance of holiness in our life of following Jesus.

Chris preaches on the faithfulness of King Josiah and the faithfulness of God.
